Bonide

Bonide Sulfur Plant Fungicide Dust, manufactured by Bonide, is a unique sulfur-based fungicide and insecticide dust that helps gardeners and animal oweners seeking to protect their plants or animals from various diseases and certain pests. This fungicide is derived from sulfur, which makes it a reliable option against diseases like rust, leaf spot, powdery mildew, and insects such as mites, thrips, and scales. As a result, applications have a 2-in-1 solution making it an economical product.

Bonide Sulfur Plant Fungicide Dust is a trusted finely milled powder that protects plants from common diseases and insects all-the-way to the day of harvest. It's also versatile enough to suit various user needs and preferences since it be applied as a dust or a sprayable solution.

Tools Needed

  • As a dust formulation, you will need a type of duster.
  • As a sprayable formulation, you will need a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or other pressure sprayer.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Bonide Sulfur Plant Fungicide Dust to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). To treat lawns, flower gardens, and shrubs for chigger infestations use 1 pound of Bonide Sulfur Plant Fungicide Dust per 500 sq. ft. To control diseases and spider mites on roses, ornamental shrubs, and perennials apply 2 1/4 tablespoons of product per 1 gallon of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: For dust applications, load the duster with the proper amount of dust. For sprayer applications, you will need to pour in half the amount of water, then load the proper amount of dust. Next, add in the remaining half of the water and shake the tank until well-mixed.
  • Step 3: When spraying, apply thoroughly to all leaf surfaces. When dusting, use a good duster and apply the product in a uniform thin film of dust to all leaf surfaces and fruit. Repeat application as stated on the label for specific foliage types.
