The tradescantia is a popular houseplant and has many AKAs (also known as) such as the inch plant, zebra plant, or wandering dude. Native to Mexico, Central and South America, this plant likes bright indirect light and to be watered regularly. The tradescantia needs a fast-draining potting mix with perlite and sand. They prefer warm temperatures above 65F and high humidity. You can trim this plants back if they are getting too leggy and they will sprout new vines from the node.
