Air plants are epiphytes, a plant type that grows on top of other plants, typically a tree and absorb water through their leaves in high humidity. Native to North and South America, this plant can grow up to 7 feet outdoors. Indoors, they reach between 2 and 12 inches. These plants don't need soil to grow but they still need plenty of light and water. Air plants prefer bright indirect light and to be misted or soaked in water weekly.
