Sarracenia
American pitcher plants, scientifically known as Sarracenia, are carnivorous plants with unique, funnel-shaped leaves that trap insects. These plants are perennial and spread by rhizomes, with leaves that can be tinged or veined with purple. They are native to the southeastern United States and parts of Canada.
