Fiber optic grass (Isolepis cernua) is a small, grass-like sedge that forms a dense mound of fine, green foliage with silvery-white flower clusters resembling tiny fiber optic lights at the tips of its stems. This low-maintenance plant typically stays under a foot tall, growing upright initially before its leaves begin to cascade, creating a fountain-like shape.
