Also known as a dumb cane, the Dieffenbachia is native to Central and South America with many different varieties. Outoors, they can reach heights of up to 10 feet. And they like humidity, so a bathroom or next to a humidifier will do the trick. Dieffenbachia like a fast-draining and well-aerated soil mix with drainage holes in the pot.
