The African violet is among the most popular houseplants, blooming almost continuously throughout the year. They have fuzzy leaves and their bloom colors range from white to pink, to purple and blue. African violets love bright indirect light and a humid environment. They need a fast-draining soil mix, specific them. The African violet does not like to dry out so keep the soil moist but don't allow the plant to sit in water.
