Purple Leaf Prunus × CistenaPurpleleaf Sand Cherry is a beautiful shrub with rich reddish-purple foliage. Its delicate and fragrant light pink flowers are born after the leaves have developed and its foliage emerges fully. Its small blackish-purple fruits appear in July and are enjoyed by birds during the growing season. This fast-growing, showy, medium-sized shrub will make an excellent accent in your landscape with its red tones and highlights of white flowers. The unique leaf color of the Purpleleaf Sand Cherry makes this a perfect addition to entryways or as a border, screen, or hedge. Once the plant matures, its leaves may reach 2 inches long.
